Looking at this photo taken by Jan & Marge in Coco Beach, I can’t think of any other place I’d like to be right now.

From Venice for Brent’s 65th by Brent & Ruth Travels

Planning a trip to Europe this spring or summer? Venice is one destination you can’t miss. For it’s famous gondola rides down the canal, tempting cuisine, and stunning architecture, many RealTravelers have found Venice to be irresistible, especially Brent and Ruth’s Travels. Off on a two month trip to Europe, they found the city to be romantic and festive, especially when celebrating a 65th birthday:

“Brent thought Paris was the most romantic place in the world, but after Venice he’s not sure; he’ll have to see what Ruth votes when we get to Paris. This is an amazing introduction to Europe!

Dinner for Brent’s birthday at Restorante Al Fontego dei Pesaori was special and we met a couple from UK that we visited with. We got back to the hotel at midnight !” (more…)

They also raved about the service they recieved from their hotel:

“We went though many small streets (alley size), over a couple of canals’ and arrived at the Locanda Orseolo Hotel through an iron gate.

Our first impressions were overwhelming, with Gondolas, accordian music and even a Virtuoso. Bruno greeted us by name and we were shown to our wonderful room, with a view of the canal and the sounds of music and singing. As we returned from lunch, which was recommended by Bruno; we were then greeted by Barbara and Igor, two more folks at reception. Both of them again let us know they knew our names.” (more…)
