Swanston

With a Real Travel rating of 3.8 out 5 based on 6 reviews, the The Swanston Hotel Melbourne Grand Mercure is recommended by Real Travel. Chris, the Chief Concierge of the hotel, gives us some insight as to how the hotel has achieved such high ratings.

Located on one of the “most vibrant streets,” Swanston Street, guests will find themselves within walking distance of the Eureka Tower, Melbourne Aquarium, Old Melbourne Gaol, Melbourne Museum and the Art Gallery.

When asked what he wanted people to know about the hotel Chris enthusiastically explains, “Many of our previous guests have commented on the exceptional customer service that our staff provide. Our own personal motto is to keep our customers satisfied by going above and beyond the call of duty with every one of our guests. Our hotel is quite unique in that we are one of the few 4 and a half star hotels that have a Concierge service for our guests. We also have a Guest Relations Team who assist guests with special requests upon arrival, whether it be flowers to be placed in a room, or a bottle of champagne for a special occasion - our dedicated staff will be able to fulfill your request.” One guest agrees, “We were very pleased with our room and the overall service at the hotel.”

Catering to all customers whether corporate, family, or leisure travelers, the hotel has something to offer to everyone. Guests looking to relax will love the heated indoor relaxation pool located on the 15th floor of the hotel. For those who like to stay active, take advantage of the “well-eqipped” gym, and then grab a bite to eat Louden Kitchen and Grill, conveniently open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

If you are shopping for a hotel that is “all about quality, Convenience, modern comfort and relaxation,” consider the Swanston Hotel, recommended by Real Travelers like yourself!

Director of Sales for the Residence Inn Ontario, Susan Segreti, offers some insight on the wonderful staff at the hotel. She explains, “Everyone at the hotel tries to make it a family atmosphere, getting to know guests individually and honing in on their interests.” Whether a corporate, government, or an extended stay traveler, this hotel offers great amenities for all. Described as being “more like an apartment hotel complex,” guests can enjoy spacious 565 sqaure foot studio suites. These suites consist of a full sized kitchen with granite countertops, a breakfast bar, stainless steel dishwasher, a small living room, a dual vanity in the bathroom, as well as a comfortable sleeping area. For those traveling with family, the hotel also offers a two bedroom, two bathroom penthouse. A total of 987 square feet, the first bedroom is located on the first floor behind two french doors, and the second bedroom is a loft style room with its own separate television and bathroom–great for those traveling in a large group!

Located just a half mile from the Ontario International Airport, this hotel is in the perfect location for those who wish to visit Los Angeles or Anaheim. With a “homestyle” atmosphere and outdoor barbeques, guests at the hotel can mix and mingle with their neighbors while taking advantage of the “family apartment complex style of living.”
