Dresden is wonderful! We have spent the last two days here walking our feet off but, it is well worth it! What a beautiful old city with amazing buildings, museums, and lots of history. The Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) is breathtaking, due to the recently renovated facility. The dome filled with frescos, the walls covered with gold and blue, and family helmets made it awe-inspiring. The Zwinger museums were spectacular! The three Rs were well represented….Ruebens, Rembrant, and Raphael. The New Green Vault of Augustus the Strong was fabulous. The use of ivory, mother of pearl, enamel, gold, silver and gem stones was unbelievable. Oh to be an artist in Augustus the Strong’s court!!!
