Lansberry has visited no places in Paris

July 19, Sat - I did some exploring on my own walking through Le Marais, an old elite area of Paris.  I toured a gorgeous mansion and the home of Victor Hugo and the Place de Vosges park, and the Bastille monument.  I went to the Centre Pompidou Modern Art Musem.  There is a great view of the city from the glass escalator.  I found the most of the things in the museum either disturbing or boring.  I prefer the great classics.   Then I went to the Latin Quarter and toured the Pantheon and its crypts and saw the tombs of greats like Victor Hugo, Voltaire, Rousseau, Madame Curie, and Lous Braille.  I went by the Sorbonne University (oldest In Europe) and went to the beautiful Luxembourg Gardens.  These are beautiful areas just to walk through (much cleaner than the Montmartre district but not as cheap).
