Leaving Krakow after 5 nights, we jumped back on the train and went back to the capital Warsaw, for the last 2 nights.

After being misled by the website that said the hotel was 1.5km from the train station....the LOCAL one 15km from the city that is, and being ripped off by a polish taxi driver charging us three times the fair...we got up the next morning, determined to make the most of the big smoke!

Spent the whole day exploring the Old town, which was really pretty and something which deserved respect and appreciation, considering it was reduced to rubble during the war!

The exploring included visiting the cathedral of St Paul's, and the beautiful Royal Castle.

The Old Town didnt have the same life as Krakow though, and was a lot quieter but this provided an opportunity to explore it calmy and without the swarms of tourists!

The next day involved some more sights of the city, but in such a big place it would take days to explore! I was really impressed by the Cultural Palace, some say it is ugly but you can't help but like the way it makes you feel so little and insignificant!

After stocking up on the incredibly cheap vodka, it was back to Sweden!
