D.C. Day 2

From

Heathrow Airport:

Ime at the start of an epic voyage!!!! Though heathrow terminal 4 hardly in Washington, United States on Aug 29 '07

Nickthewelshman has visited no places in Washington

My train journy again was pritty nice, apart from having to wake up at such a crap hour!!! Actually i was paninking becasue i had not booked any hostels, but was saved by the international student center who took me in. It was such a fantastic place, basic but really friendly and have met some really cool guys who again are from camp america and ar from australia.

I went in to downtown D.C. on the bus (as the metro system is a little more complicated here than in NYC) and saw the white house. Which by the way so soooooo over rated!!! ITS TINY!! but its something you have to do while your in the city. The majority of the rest of the day was spent visiting the international spy museum, which is nothing special but entertaining all the same! Oh yer an i had the coolest bed as i had a micky mouse under sheet!!!! (oh an 2 hot girls sleeping accross the room from me!)

The next morning (today) i went again to the white house just to check how pathetically small it really was and then walked down the the mall. (which is this HUGE strech of grass. This was the best bit of the day, just looking down at the capitol building and the washigton memorial was really breth taking. i then visited the national air and space museam, which took up most of the day!! But was well worth the time to look around as there is so much to see! I then walked back up to the washington monument (the big spike thingi) and back towards to the white house and then got lost in the back streets just exploring DC other than just the touristy bits.
