James83 has visited no places in Boston

The first thing I noticed was how unusually friendly the people are here in Boston. The guy sitting beside on the plane seemed like a pretty regular nice guy, but I did think it was a bit strange when he invited me to his Church on Sunday!! So I was walking down the street, big rucksack on, hair flying all over the shop, wondering where the hell my hostel was, when 2 different people stopped to give me directions- willingly!- would never happen in Dublin!

I eventually got checked in and went out to a local 'pseudo' Irish pub called Clearys. Was a bit weird on my own at first, but then I got talking to a French/Swedish couple- Stephene and Liv about all things French, Irish and Swedish. After they went, I got talking to too aptly named local girls Lexi and Jessie (yeh I know!). Was a decent night, but my body clock still hasnt adjusted to the time difference, keep waking up in the middle of the night!

Saturday was spent mostly walking around Boston getting a feel for the place. I like this city, Its got a kind of warm, lets keep it nice, kind of feel. I seen the water pool type thing behind the Prudential tower. It was cool. The Christian Science church have some fantastic buildngs which seems kind of strange. Got to the outside of the museum of fine arts but couldnt be bothered paying into it!

Im probably going to go on the 'Duck Tour' today, which is pretty much like those Viking tour boats in Dublin. Then maybe some extra time to visit Cheers and Boston Common, and maybe Harvard if I can fit that in. The plan is then to get a ferry to Capecode before heading down to NY. Will put some more photos on Picasso or Facebook soon.
