Like London, we did a lot of things in Paris in a short time. We were out early morning through late evening on both days. We are going to tell you about some of the main things that we did.

The first day was a day of museums. We, of course had to go to the Louvre. We went through the glass pyramid to get inside, and after buying tickets, headed straight for the Mona Lisa. We saw lots of paintings on the way. We finally got to the painting. It looked real. Nikhil quickly sketched it. While he was sketching the Mona Lisa some other tourists were taking pictures of him! Then we went to see the Ancient Greek statues. We liked the statues of the centaur and of Apollo. They looked really cool. Then we went to the Ancient Egyptian stuff. There was lots of things. There was a small brown sphinx that Nikhil liked. Rishi liked the cat sculptures. There were lots of things to see at the Louvre. It was very fun.

While he was sketching the Mona Lisa some other tourists were taking pictures of him!

After the Louvre, we went to eat lunch and headed across the street to the Jardin Tuileries. First, we saw some sand. Then, we went to play with small sail boats on a pond. We made them attack each other. We made them go through the water spout. Then, we went to the palyground there. The ladder was a little bit dangerous. We liked the park.

Next, we walked across the river to the Orsay Museum.  There we saw Vincent Van Gogh's portrait. Nikhil sketched it. We saw some of his other work too. We saw paintings by Monet and Manet. We saw a huge painting of Vampires. We saw a sculpture of Medussa's head. Nikhil sketched that too.

The second day we went to see the well known sights of the city.  We went to the Eiffel Tower. It was big and tall. You can see it from a long way off. We used an elevator to get to the top. It was cold at the top. We could see lots of Paris from there.  It was exciting to see this famous structure. Rishi wonders how many men it took to bulid it! It was amazing.

Next, we walked to the Arc de Triomphe. It is an arch that has a memorial next to it. It is white with people carved on it. We could not climb to the top, becuse it was closed that day.  Lots of people were gathering to look at it. The Champs Elysees is just off the Arc de Triomphe. We walked down it and got some lunch along the way.  Rishi had a cheese and herb baguette and an eclair for dessert. Nikhil had pizza and an eclair for dessert. it was delicious!

Finally, we saw the Notre Dame Cathedral. We were feeling very tired. On the way there we ate some sweet crepes. The crepes had butter and sugar and were yummy. We didn't go inside the cathedral but we did see lots of pigeons while Papa was looking at it.  We bought bread and rice from men who were there to feed the pigeons. We even both got one to perch on our hands. The pigeons claws were sharp and it felt funny when the pigeons pecked at the rice on our hands.

After dinner we dinner we headed back to the hotel. We felt sleepy, but we also felt like we wanted to go to Paris again.
