more reviews for room »hotel is a nineteenth century Palazzina whose four floors look directly over the River Arno and overlooking Piazzale Michelangelo-Entering the hotel the first thing you notice is the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the classical decoration-The reception area and its adjacent bar are decorated traditionally and luxuriously - with clear travertine floors, inlaid with both yellow and green Sienese marble and a typical wooden ceiling with interlacing beams in the lounge area and frescoed ceilings in the reception desk and bar areas-The walls are decorated with high wooden boiserie paneling-with rich insets of gold and yellow cloth-Contrasting red or blue armchairs and sofas furnish the bar and reception area-and their fine gold detailing picks out the panels in the walls- In the hall there are both a Free Internet Point and a Complimentary Hot Spot Wi-Fi wireless connection-The bar beside the hall is light and comfortable and the ground floor breakfast room offers a pleasing and restful atmosphere in which to enjoy breakfast -The breakfast room has travertine floors and boiserie paneling on the walls-All corridors are carpeted and have wallpapered walls-On the fourth floor is located a terrace with tables and chairs and a view of the river is open to all residents-whilst on the ground floor-there is an internal courtyard with benches and potted plants all year-round-Part of the courtyard serves as a glazed winter garden-where guests can enjoy breakfast or during the rest of the day enjoy the peace and tranquility to sit and relax. -The property is located 1mi SE of FLR-Florence.
