    From Perugia Sant Egidio Airport (PEG): Distance to Hotel Il Palazzo is 13 kilometres, approximately 20 minutes' drive. Getting there. Public buses depart from the airport for Piazza Italia in the centre of Perugia and the train station three times a day. Single tickets cost approximately 2.60 EUR. From Perugia, regular bus and train services run to Assisi and its railway station, Santa Maria degli Angeli, five kilometres from the hotel. A taxi direct to the hotel costs approximately 40 EUR. Prices are subject to change. Getting around. There are two bus services running throughout Assisi. Trains link Assisi and Perugia to Rome, Florence, and Ancona (via Foligno or Terontola). Assisi itself is compact and easily explored on foot. Hiring a car is recommended for exploring the Umbrian countryside. Driving directions. From the airport, head north on Strada Aeroporto Sant'Egidio Ripa. Turn right onto Strada Ginestrella Muleti. Turn right again onto the SP248 I and continue on. At the T junction, turn left onto SS147 and continue on. Take a slight left at Viale Guglielmo Marconi. Turn right at Piazza San Pietro and turn left before taking a sharp right onto Via Fontebella. Take a right at Via Portica and then a sharp left onto Via San Paolo. Continue across Piazzette Aluigi before turning left on to Via San Francesco, where the hotel is located.
