Today we were woken by the captain at 7:30am telling us we were entering College Fjord. This Fjord contains a number of glaciers that are named after large colleges in the US. We jumped out of bed and headed for the Crows Nest viewing area to see this natural feature. It was raining outside so taking photos through the glass windows of the boat was quite difficult. We decided to head to the Lido deck for breakfast where a large array of hot and cold buffet items were on offer.

We decided to investigate the boat this morning, sussing out all the shops and public access rooms and entertainment available on the ship. We stopped by the coffee shop and bought hot cappucino and caramel latte - way better than the percolated brew we are offerred at breakfast. Thinking about the buffet food on offer during the trip, we decided a walk was required, and headed for deck 3, where you can walk fully around the boat. Three and a half laps is one mile, so we decided on 10 laps. This turned out to be quite an adventure as the weather turned nasty, the boat started rocking, and the rain came down. At the end we were both cold and wet, so headed back to our room to put on dry clothes and have a rest.

What do you mean I look green.... blerk!

I was not feeling very well at all so layed down on the couch, while Joe played around with some photo editing software on the laptop. I fell asleep watching a Doris Day movie. After hot showers we headed out to dinner once again on the Lido deck, as it was formal night and neither of us wanted to get dressed up to go to the restaurant, so we opted for casual dining.

Afterwards we walked around the deck and saw the most beautiful sunset. After looking in awe at this, we stopped at the Explorers lounge and listned to a trio playing the piano, violin and cello. This was really nice relaxing music. Joe had a couple of cocktails - I stuck to a glass of really horrible tasting water as I wasn't sure if I could keep it down. At 11pm we decided to call it a night. On returning to our room, our cabin steward had turned down our bed and left us a towel frog on the bed (see picture). We shall see what towel feature tomorrow night brings!!
