Today I woke feeling refreshed and not so queasy. The ship was not rocking and moving smoothly through the water. Outside temperature was 12 degrees at 7am - but sure to get colder as we moved into Glacier bay. After joining the hoards for breakfast at 8:30 on the Lido deck, it was out on to Deck 3 for our morning walk. This seemed especially cold today, but at least it was not raining like yesterday. Today there was a hot chocolate trolley making its way around deck three to help warm everyone up (for a price). We kept passing the trolley on every lap, and by lap 10, headed up to the bow of the ship, only to be waylaid by a hot chocolate stand at the entrance to the bow. They were also selling alcoholic chocolate mixtures in souvenier thermal mugs. We had a weak moment and bought two cocktails and these warmed us up from the inside.

After a quick stop in the room it was back on deck to look at the first of many Glaciers we would pass today. The first big one - the Majourie Glacier, had some magnificent blue colours and I caught a glance at some carving - when ice breaks away from the glacier and falls into the water. We also spotted two families of seals just laying around on some of the carved ice bergs in the water. We headed up to the Lido deck for a mexican flavoured lunch, then outside to the deck again for the next major sightseeing event of the day - the John Hopkins Glacier. On the way to this large glacier, we passed another smaller one which had the most spectacular blue colours in its face. On the deck looking at the John Hopkins glacier both Joe and I thought our hands were going to freeze solid.
Rug up.. this is mighty cold!!!

We headed inside for a hot chocolate and a session of travel blogging and photo sorting, ready for the next time we manage to find affordable internet. We decided on the casual Lido Deck dinner again and then after a short break in our room, headed for the 9pm seating of the Show in the theatre. This was called "ShowTime" and featured Grammy, Tony and Oscar awarded music and choreographed dancing. After the show we headed up to the Crows Nest night club for their 70's and 80's disco night. We downed some cocktails, Mojito's and something called a "Grizzly Bear". It was pretty quiet people wise by 11:15pm so we decided to call it a night.
